Ronaldo doubtful for Wigan Friday, October 13, 2006
Cristiano Ronaldo is a major doubt ahead of the weekend trip to Wigan Athletic.
The Portuguese star sustained an ankle injury against Poland in midweek, and manager Sir Alex Ferguson is sweating on the fitness of his key man.
"He got an ankle knock in the second half (against Poland). He's getting treatment today.
We want to give him a chance if we possibly can.
"He kept on for more than 30 minutes with the ankle injury which although it was not a serious ankle injury, none the less playing with it has created a bit of swelling and we have to try and get rid of that."
