Winger Simao Sabrosa scored twice as Portugal beat Kazakhstan 3-0 in their Euro 2008 Group A qualifier on Wednesday.
Simao opened the scoring with a shot from inside the box after nine minutes. Cristiano Ronaldo, doubtful before the game because of injury, doubled the lead with an individual effort after 30 minutes.
Simao completed the scoring six minutes from time after Kazakhstan failed to clear a corner.
Portugal lie fourth in the group with seven points from four games, while Kazakhstan are sixth with two points. Finland top the group with 11 points from five matches.
