Ronaldo was offered to Barca Wednesday, January 03, 2007
Cristiano Ronaldo's agent claims he offered the Man United star to reigning European champions Barcelona prior to last year's World Cup finals in Germany.
Jorge Mendes has been quoted as telling a Spanish newspaper: "I did offer the player to Barcelona some time ago (April-May 2006) but Barca turned him down because they told me they were considering signing Henry."
The 21-year-old Red Devils winger is in the form of his life, prompting fans of the Calatan giants to pick him out as the player they would most like to see arrive at the Nou Camp.
But Ronaldo's agent has insisted that his client is very happy at Old Trafford, adding: "At this time it is impossible that he can go there (Barcelona).
"Manchester would never let him leave, not for all the money in the world. He is happy in the Premiership and he will not put pressure to force a departure."
Ronaldo, who cost the Red Devils £12.24 million when manager Sir Alex Ferguson signed him from Sporting Lisbon in 2003, was being strongly linked with a move away from Old Trafford at the start of the current Premiership campaign.
