No bets with Ronaldo - Fergie

There will be scoring bet between Sir Alex Ferguson and Cristiano Ronaldo this season.

The 22-year-old Portugal winger has easily eclipsed the 15 and 20 goal totals set by Ferguson during the past two seasons.

But Ronaldo has not accepted the 65-year-old Scot's latest challenge.

To deny Ronaldo a hat-trick of successful bets, Ferguson has set him a massive 35-goal target for the coming campaign.

Sir Alex said: "I won't be having a bet with Ronaldo this season because he has refused my offer.

"I told him that I would be asking for 35 goals from him this year, but he said no, so there will be no betting this season."
