Ronaldo pledges to keep his cool
Friday, September 14, 2007
Cristiano Ronaldo is determined to never be provoked again after serving a three-match ban for his red card at Portsmouth.
The 22-year-old winger was dismissed following an altercation with Pompey's Richard Hughes but told the Daily Mail: "I've learned a lot from this.
"Now I am mentally prepared to tolerate anything my rivals throw at me. They cannot provoke me anymore."
Ronaldo is available for selection again and may face Everton on Saturday.
And the Portugal international added: "I live for football and during the last few weeks I've suffered more than at any time in the last few years.
"It has been an incredible feeling not to be able to help the team."
