Ronaldo to sign new deal
CRISTIANO Ronaldo is close to signing a new deal that would keep him at United until 2010, according to a report.
The Reds are keen to secure their Portuguese winger's future, amid rumours that Real Madrid are interested in his signature.
However, Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes told the Daily Star: "This week we have made a lot of progress and every time we talk we are closer to Cristiano signing.
"He wants it to be a long deal so he doesn't have to worry about it any more and he can concentrate on playing his football.
