Cristiano Ronaldo announced Saturday he's now the father of a baby boy.
"It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become father to a baby boy. As agreed with the baby's mother, who prefers to have her identity kept confidential, my son will be under my exclusive guardianship. No further information will be provided on this subject and I request everyone to fully respect my right to privacy (and that of the child) at least on issues as personal as these are," Ronaldo said in a link from his Twitter account.
He also announced the news on his Facebook page.
Ronaldo, 25, was playing for Portugal in the World Cup, but they were eliminated on Tuesday after a 1-0 loss to Spain.
He has been known to date many beauties, including tennis star Maria Sharapova, as well as socialites Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian.
